Heat Pumps
You probably already own a heat pump – refrigerators and freezers are all heat pumps taking heat out to keep the inside cool. Our heat pumps take heat from either the ground or the air and use the energy to heat your home and provide hot water.
This amazing technology is not new: in the 1950′s several heat pumps were installed in a bid to save energy and fuel costs. One of the most famous at Royal Festival Hall in London extracted heat from the River Thames.
Heat pumps do require electricity, however the total heat energy output is several times higher than the electricity required and we can provide Solar PV to power the running of your heat pump.
Our Air Source Heat pump takes heat from the air and can be installed in new build or retrofitted. Best suited to underfloor heating it can also work with oversized radiators. We can Install in around 3 days
Our Ground Source Heat pump takes heat from the ground and can be also be installed in a new build or retrofitted but excavation and groundworks are required. It is also best suited to underfloor heating but can work with oversized radiators, and takes around 5 days to install.
The main benefits for you:
- reduce your energy bills
- reduce your carbon footprint.
- simple to install
- low maintenance
